About this picture
Santa holds up a long scroll with both hands, the paper unrolling all the way down past his knees. A few lines are written at the top, and Santa looks pleased with what he's reading, so it must be the nice list. The scroll's curled ends and long open space make it easy to personalize.

Coloring ideas
- Write your own name, or your family's names, on the scroll's lines before coloring.
- Color the scroll a soft cream or tan so it looks like old paper.
- Keep Santa's suit red and his beard white so the scroll is the center of attention.
- Add a gold or red ribbon tied around the bottom roll of the scroll.
Learning and creativity connection
Writing names on the nice list turns coloring into handwriting practice, and gives kids something to proudly hang up when they're done.
